I can’t say enough good things about barre. I came in dealing with a frozen hip, perimenopause symptoms, and a lot of built-up stress and tension, and this practice has genuinely helped on all fronts. Barre Restore was such a lovely experience. I’m not usually very good at calming down, but this class genuinely helped release so much built-up tension. The slow, mindful movements encouraged full-body mobility in a way that felt supportive and accessible. I left feeling noticeably more relaxed and flexible, both physically and mentally. The environment is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the beautiful fairy lights create such a calming, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking to unwind, move your body gently, and reset.

I thought barre was related to ballet, but it turns out that it is a varied as pilates or yoga. Talking to Lily about her style, as I am fascinated, she describes a burn, and the way muscle reacts to the small, precise movements that we do and hold. Sometimes the burn comes on during the exercise, quite strongly, I feel like I've had a real workout when I walk from the class and for hours after, I am always surprised that I get up the next day absolutely fine! Because of the powerful sensations I was reassured by Lily's knowledge of the body from her nursing background. I actually didnt like the first class (because of my ballet expectation), but I returned the next week to check my reaction and I love it. Great music and good sense of humour, Lily is the real deal.
